Challenges and Triumphs: Recruiting for a Young Manufacturing Brand in a Competitive Environment

Objective:

To find an experienced business development candidate for a young organization operating in the solar energy sector.

Challenges in the Search:

The client aimed to attract a candidate willing to spend 50% of their time on international business trips, balancing work between Russia and Central Asia. Our client is a young company whose employer brand is still in the development phase. The candidate needed to tackle ambitious challenges related to entering new markets, substantiating their qualifications with prior experience and achievements.

Approach to the Solution:

We employed a comprehensive strategy that included in-depth candidate engagement and close collaboration with the client.

Thorough Analysis of Candidate Experience and Achievements:

In the initial stage, we conducted detailed interviews with selected candidates to:

  • Identify and quantify specific achievements and potential.
  • Determine career goals by analyzing the ambitions and professional preferences of the candidates.
  • Uncover their vision of an ideal employer. This insight allowed us to understand which factors were decisive for candidates when choosing their future workplace.

By doing this, we were able not only to evaluate the compatibility of candidates with the job requirements but also to uncover their motivations and needs as prospective employees.

Intensive Communication with the Client:

Simultaneously, we actively engaged with the employer to:

  • Identify key expectations by discussing what the company was seeking in a new team member and which qualities were prioritized.
  • Determine the advantages of the offer, which helped create a clear picture of what the company could offer candidates to attract their interest.

Result:

We take pride in the outcome of our work, completed in a record short time—just one month fr om receiving the job opening to the candidate starting work. A notable aspect of this project was our successful competition against an alternative offer with a higher salary. This was made possible through our deep exploration of the motivations and preferences of the prioritized candidate, along with a comparative analysis of potential employers, including an assessment of corporate culture, management style, decision-making speed, and opportunities for influencing strategic processes.

This case illustrates our ability to find effective solutions even in the most challenging situations. Thanks to our deep understanding of the needs of both parties, we were able to create a scenario wh ere both the client and the candidate emerged as winners. We demonstrated that we can successfully attract talented professionals, even when more appealing offers exist in the market.
