Overcoming Challenges: Finding the Perfect Technology Manager for a Complex Project
Objective:
A company approached us after spending over 2years unsuccessfully trying to fill a Technology Manager position. The main challenge was a unique combination of requirements: the candidate needed to possess not only deep technical expertise but also experience in interacting with foreign equipment licensors. Since 2022, the number of such specialists on the labor market has become critically low, and those who are available fall into the "red zone" of salary expectations, which did not align with the client's budget.
Approach to Solution:
We conducted an in-depth market analysis and revised the search criteria. Throughout the process, we held more than 40 interviews. Each candidate underwent a multi-stage assessment, evaluating both their professional skills and personal competencies (cultural fit). The primary focus was placed on specialists willing to relocate and work within the strict budget constraints set by the client.
Outcome:
Just three months after the project started, the selected candidate began working. We didn't just fill the vacancy—the specialist relocated to the required region and successfully integrated into the company's processes. The client commended the new employee's high level of expertise and their effective interaction with contractors, which was evident even during the probation period.
