Our client is the largest oil and gas company with a branch in Turkey.
We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer who will be responsible for delivering on safe and reliable functioning of all Mechanical Equipment. You will provide Mechanical discipline expertise and leadership for related equipment (pipelines, piping, valves, HIPPS, PIG traps, water bath heaters, filters-separators, FGTU etc.). You will manage, support and monitor timely execution of Inspection, Maintenance and Repair activities at site. Therefore, Mechanical Engineering experience gained within the operation phase of international Gas production, processing and/or transport is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Provide troubleshooting and engineering support to facility operations and onsite mechanical teams for related mechanical equipment (pipelines, piping, valves, HIPPS, PIG traps, water bath heaters, filters-separators, FGTU etc.);
- Organize and supervise timely execution of assigned Inspection, Maintenance and Repair (IMR) activities for related mechanical equipment;
- Develop instructions, regulations, manuals and procedures associated with the pre-commissioning, commissioning, operation, inspection, maintenance and repair, decommissioning and preservation of the mechanical equipment;
- Prepare and approve requests (specifications) for supply of equipment, emergency stock, materials and spare parts for commissioning and operational needs, production needs, planned maintenance and capital repair;
- Ensure availability and completeness of technical documentation (Inspection and Maintenance plans, method statements, specifications, data sheets, engineered drawings etc) in compliance with the requirements of the safety rules, codes, standards, operational and maintenance manuals;
- Ensure periodic review and implementation of (new) Maintenance & Inspection strategies in CMMS related to mechanical equipment by applying industry recognised methodologies such as Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) and Risk Based Inspection (RBI);
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned MOC review and approval process;
- Manage assigned projects by applying the SST Project Management System;
- Lead assigned Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and support cross functional equipment failure investigations;
- Ensure accurate budgeting for Inspection, Maintenance and Repair activities. Supervise budget execution and timely report overruns;
- Interface with Company Partners, Contractors, Specialist Consultants and Vendors;
- Liaise with Operations, HSSE, QA/QC and other SST departments;
- Coordinate the Emergency Pipeline/Piping Repair Services readiness for LFR and RT, ensure alignment with Operations Emergency Response process and organize periodic drills;
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Master or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering;
- 15 years’ experience as (Senior/Lead) Mechanical Engineer with a gas pipeline operator, preferably also experience in large gas pipeline project (gas pipeline installation, gas plant construction);
- Fluent in Russian and English – both written and oral is a must;
- Essential is solid operational experience with mechanical equipment related to the gas transportation, i.e. manual, shutdown and control valves, instrumentation valves, HIPPS, PIG traps, water bath heaters, separators, gas metering stations. Good knowledge of the pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities is highly beneficial;
- Experience with development and implementation of Maintenance & Inspection strategies by applying industry techniques such as Risk Based Inspection (RBI);
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is required;
- Experience with Emergency response planning and Emergency communication chart during situations;
- Experience with International, European, Russian, Turkish norms and codes related to design, operation and maintenance of the mechanical equipment for gas transportation industry;
- General computer proficiency and good knowledge of the following programs and applications: – Word, Excel, and Power Point;
- Team player, ready to work in a multicultural environment;
- Good communication and leadership skills.
