Project Engineer
We are looking for a Project Engineer for an international production company of industrial and medical gases providing technologies and services for industry.
Project Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing engineering strategy for projects is involved in. He/She ensures delivery of all elements of engineering strategy, controlling related subcontractors and managing the project design from project development phase until successful completion of project. Project Engineer challenges technical departments to get accurate and competitive estimation.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and challenge information from the technical department to build accurate and realistic estimation.
- Collect compliance constraints and recognized opportunities.
- Ensure that the design of the plant will match Gas supply Agreement expectations and internal stakeholders’ expectations.
- Manage internal and external validations to ensure Basic and detailed design is done in accordance with corporate Safety rules and local reglementation.
- Follow-up suppliers in accordance with the contract from the fabrication process to the delivery.
- Responsible for all documentation requested for custom clearance on exploitation.
- Prepare technical assignments, issue all technical documentation and contribute to selection of subcontractors - Prepare technical comparisons between each bidder.
- Ensure follow up of contractors (quality & schedule).
- Control the coherence of scope of work; deadlines and quality of materials and working drawings.
- Validate any deviations from initial design documents.
- Control the process of preparation of as-built documentation, ensuring that subcontractors are managing it by appropriate standard (local and Group rules).
- Participate in construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning stages coordinating any outstanding technical matters.
- Participate to prepare for start-up process.
- Ensure that the technical solutions proposed are fully compliant with Group Safety rules.
- Ensure that all technical project documentation is ready to be shared with the Operations Team.
- Assist Operations Team in interpreting the information contained in technical documentation.
- Work closely with all internal and external parties to ensure all technical documentation is available on time to be approved by State Authorities at different stages of the project.
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree, preferably Science or Engineering (Process, Mechanical or Chemistry).
- 3-5 years’ experience in Engineering and Construction.
- Technical expertise in piping design and pressure vessels (must), electricity and automation (preferable), Rules regulating equipment design, SNIP and construction codes, compliance and permitting rules for documentation.
- English B1.
- Strong Safety culture.
